  • EHS Teacher (Clarkston, WA)

The Teacher position is responsible for the implementation of comprehensive direct services to the children and their families. Services include but are not limited to child development, health, nutrition, dental, mental health, prenatal & post-partum, disabilities services and social services. The Teacher must ensure that the child development needs are met as required by the Early Head Start Performance Standards.

 

A minimum of an Infant/Toddler CDA (Child Development Associate) is required; An Associate or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or a related field is preferred.

 

There are multiple positions available; these positions work 40 hours/week 52 weeks/year

  • Teacher (Lewiston, ID; Clarkston, WA)

The Teacher position is responsible for the implementation of direct services to the children and their families. The Teacher has the main responsibility for the classroom and must ensure that the child development needs are met as required by the Head Start/ECEAP Performance Standards.

 

A minimum of an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or a related field with 30 quarter credits in Early Childhood education is required; A Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or a related field with 30 quarter credits in Early Childhood education is preferred.

 

Lewiston: This position works 30 hours/week 37 weeks/year.

 

Clarkston: This position works 40 hours/week 39 weeks/year.

  • Family Advocate (Clarkston, WA)

 

The Family Advocate position is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive social services to enrolled families.  It is the responsibility of this position to assure the social services and health and dental needs are met as required for each child and family assigned.  This position is expected to be an active partner with each family and their child’s Teacher.

A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Psychology or related field with the equivalent of 30 quarter credits in social work or psychology

Clarkston: This position works 40 hours/week 39 weeks/year.

  • Idaho Program Aide (Lewiston, ID)

 

The Program Aide joins with the classroom team and family in providing the best possible experience for all of the children in the classroom. This position provides support to the implementation of the daily activities of the classroom. Experience working in the early childhood arena preferred.

Lewiston: This position works 16 hours/week 33 weeks/year.

  • Assistant Teacher ( Lewiston, ID)

 

The Assistant Teacher is the second education person in the classroom and assumes the role of the teacher in his/her absence as assigned. The Assistant Teacher is responsible for the implementation of health activities within the classroom structure. This position provides support to the implementation of the daily activities of the classroom and plans these activities with the Teacher.

 

A minimum of a CDA (Child Development Associate) is required; an Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or related field with 30 quarter credits in ECE is preferred.

                                              Position 2 works 35 hours/week 52 weeks/year

  • Cook Aide (Moscow, ID)

 

The Outlying Area Cook is responsible for food and supply purchase, preparation and service at their assigned center.  All meals will meet the Child Nutrition Program standards and all sanitation requirements.  The Cook will assign and direct all kitchen volunteers.

 

This position works 16 hours/week, 36 weeks/year.

  • Temporary Program Aide (Valley and Outlying Areas)

 

This position will be performing services in various work areas in early childhood settings throughout the Lewis-Clark Early Childhood Program service areas. Some general areas are classroom, clerical, kitchen, custodial, and maintenance (this is not necessarily an all-inclusive list but are the most common areas the Agency will need the services of the

 

Temporary Program Aide). This position does not have a regular schedule but instead is assigned to an area based on need and availability.

     

  • Classroom / Kitchen Substitutes

We are seeking qualified individuals to substitute for the following positions as needed:

  • Program/Classroom Aides

  • Cooks

  • Custodians

  •  

In the absence of the regular staff, substitutes will assume the role of the respective position.

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds regularly and 50 pounds in emergency situations.
