VOLUNTEER OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM

Wash classroom play clothes at home Assist with parent and classroom bulletin boards Gather or make materials for a class project Copy, fold, sort, holepunch, cut, or staple materials Airing up bicycle tires Fluffing playground bark Maintenance work at the site Carpentry work at the site



DONATING CENTER MATERIALS

Buying anything Head Start would normally buy (new or used) such as: Classroom materials Books Art supplies Spare clothes for classroom Diapers Toys



HOME ACTIVITIES

Home Activiy Sheets: Parent time spent at home working with their child on activities that are based on individual assessments and are part of the written curriculum



DONATING SPACE

Particating in Home Activites Participaing in Home Visits Participating in meetings, socializations (EHS) or training activities



DONATING MILEAGE

Mileage and travel time may be applied to activities that benefit the program. Examples of this would be: Driving to get classroom supplies Parent Meetings and Socializations (EHS) Policy Council and Board Meetings (if you choose not to be reimbursed) Transporting your children to HS/EHS required health screenings Center Visits



ATTENDING PROGRAM FUNCTIONS

Parent Meetings (only time spent discussing program activities is considered allowable). Socializations for Early Head Start Policy Council or Board Meetings
